Build a Country War Tier List
Tanks and planes are late. Cash and pacts decide who takes the server.
War in Build a Country is how a five-player server ends, not how it starts. The experience launched on 21 May 2026 with a simple pitch: expand, ally or declare war, take the server. Official war art is a desert-camo tank firing on another tank with a 1% callout in the sky, plus fields of green armor and flights of planes opposite peaceful wheat. This list ranks what wins those fights over a full lobby, not a fake DPS table.
We still refuse unpublished hit points. A 1% callout in promotional art is a reminder that shots chip, miss, and cost. If you cannot pay for the next tank, the last tank was a rental. Use the Tier List Hub windows, then this page for the war window only.
S-tier: the economy that rebuilds
Cash and population stay S-tier in war. That sounds like a peace rank leaking into a war page. It is the point. You cannot replace losses without selling. Housing and farms — the same S jobs on the building tier list — are the logistics layer. A player who kept workers in wheat can roll a second wave after the 1% shots land. A player who spent the early window on empty armor gets one parade.
This is why the economy playstyle is not a coward’s guide. It is how you stay in the fight after the first duel. If your sell cycle cannot rebuild, you are not ready, no matter how many planes a thumbnail promised.
A-tier: five-player diplomacy
Servers cap at five players. You have four neighbors, not a megaserver of strangers. Alliances are A-tier war power because a 2-versus-1 is a bigger swing than one extra vehicle you cannot afford to lose. Official ally art is countryballs on the same grass; official plot art is flagged cities of different sizes sharing a map. Talk before you fire.
Diplomacy ranks above raw hardware because hardware is public. Everyone can see a tank line. Not everyone knows who promised whom a border. A pact that lets one country farm while the other holds a flank is how you take the server without racing every plot to bankruptcy. The alliance playstyle and How to War cover the social half. This letter is the reminder: do not skip talking.
Betrayal is part of the rank. A-tier does not mean “trust forever.” It means “treat the lobby as a board of four other people.” Count likely piles, not just the tank in front of you.
B-tier: tanks and planes as late military
Tanks and planes are B-tier as a default buy, A-tier as a funded late job. The war half of official art is real: rows of armor, jets and bombers over grass. They are how you actually crack a rival city. They are still late. Builder time spent on vehicles is builder time not spent on the S-tier sell loop. Opportunity cost puts them below cash and below pacts until those two are stable.
When they come online, use them as a replaceable tool. The 1% duel shot is a cash test: if that hit is expensive to answer, you declared too early. Park military next to production, not instead of it. The military playstyle explains why a naked rush fails in this player count.
Planes do not change the letter by being in the sky. They change it when you can field them again after the first pass. One flight is a raid. A funded air loop is a rank.
C-tier: rushing the server broke
C-tier is declaring war on an empty wallet. It is also fighting four players at once because you skipped alliances, and parking a trophy army that you cannot rebuild after the first 1% chip. Taking the server is the win condition. Going broke on minute twenty is how you donate the win to whoever kept farming.
C-tier includes treating VIP or Change Size as war power. Those passes are situational on the gamepass tier list. They do not absorb shots.
A war-readiness checklist
Before you declare:
- Houses and farms still run if you look away for a fight.
- One sell cycle can replace the armor you are willing to lose.
- You know who the other four players are, and at least one is not shooting you.
- Storage is not about to freeze your rebuilds.
- You have read How to War so the button is not a surprise.
If any line fails, you are still in the economy window. Stay there. The Playstyles Hub will tell you whether to keep banking, start soldiering, or go full diplomat.
Reading the 1% callout
Promotional tank duels flash 1% over the target. That is not a hidden stat sheet we will turn into a fake HP bar. It is the studio showing war as attrition. Attrition favors the country that can pay. When you see chips like that in a real fight, ask “can I pay for the next percent?” If the answer is no, disengage, sell, and come back — or call the ally who still has wheat.
War ranks move with the lobby. A quiet server makes funded tanks look higher. A chatty server makes pacts look higher. Cash never leaves S, because wreckage does not refund itself. Keep the workers employed, then let the armor earn its letter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, war, and growing your country.
Why is economy S-tier on a war list?
You cannot replace tanks and planes without cash. Housing and farms fund rebuilds after 1% chips land.
When should I build tanks and planes?
Late, after the sell loop can rebuild losses. See How to War and the military playstyle.
How many players are in a war?
Servers cap at five. Diplomacy with the other four is A-tier. Read the alliance playstyle.
What does the 1% hit callout mean?
Official tank-duel art shows a 1% callout. Treat war as attrition you must fund, not as a one-shot stat we invented.
Should I skip alliances and just attack?
Usually no. A pile-on beats a lone rush. Use How to War plus pacts before you empty the plot box.
